#1 — Tress of the Emerald Sea
The first book in Sanderson's 'Secret Projects' kickstarter. Can a stow-away on an ocean of spores that become deadly with even just a drop of water navigate her first time off her island, becoming a pirate, and find the sorceress and her friend who has gone missing? A great listen, still unsure how it will fit into the greater cosmere though.
#3 — Yumi and the Nightmare Painter
The third book in Sanderson's 'Secret Projects' kickstarter. I will admit I had difficulty getting into this one comapred to the earlier two. I will have to give it another listen/read in the future. The story was a bit predictable and I guessed the twist farily early through. I should be used to the back and forth narration style of Michael and Kate by now with WoT and SLA, but for some reason I couldn't quite jive with it this time.
#4 — The Sunlit Man
A look into a Rosharan worldhopper who has had some off-screen adventures since we last saw him. He's faced with the decision to escape the hellscape he got dumped on, or save the lives of the inhabitants who took him in and adopted him as one of their own. My only issue with this book is the narration. Having heard Michael's take on a character for 5 books then have a wildly different narration style and voice threw me.
